Hi, I'm Meaghan - the founder of The Light Catcher Company.
Every photographer says they love capturing memories - but I actually mean it (and I promise not to make you look like a sears catalog model... unless you're into that kind of thing - believe it or not, those shoots are trending). I'm not here to force you into stiff poses or make you smile until your cheeks hurt. I'm here for the real stuff - the kind of photos that make you laugh when you see them, cry when you remember them, and show off proudly because they feel like you.
I'm obsessed with candid shots - the rare ones where the lighting hits just right, someone bursts out laughing, or a detail you didn't plan suddenly becomes the highlight of the photo. Those are the moments that stop you mid-scroll, the ones that make you say, "Oh wow, that's us."
My approach? Keep things light. I'll probably crack a few bad jokes, make you forget the camera is even there, and cheer you on like your personal hype squad. I believe the best photos come from the moments you didn't rehearse - the genuine grins, the real laughter, the "you had to be there" kind of energy.

Hello beautiful,
I picked up a camera for the first time when my son was born- just a mama trying to freeze time. I started by capturing his tiny milestones each month, getting creative with backdrops, outfits, and whatever light I had. It quickly became more than just a hobby- it became a way to hold onto the moments that felt like they were slipping by too fast.
As he grew, so did my passion for photography. What started in my living room blossomed into a deep love for capturing real, meaningful moments- the kind you want to bottle up forever. My camera became my way of storytelling, Wether it was documenting my own life or helping others preserve theirs.
Now, I get to do this for families, couples, graduates, and anyone wanting to remember this chapter- just as it is. My goal is always the same to create a space where you feel relaxed, seen, and celebrated, and to deliver photos that feel like home.
When I'm not behind the camera, you'll find me driving a school bus (yes, I really do have saint-level patience), taking care of my son, spoiling my giant dog, or running solely on iced coffee. Basically, I thrive in chaos, caffeine, and creativity.
